As the sun set over the great Pacific and the darkness of the night began to take hold, so did the scene at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach on a hot and muggy Monday evening. Partygoers and music enthusiasts were quick to fill the tavern to capacity for a night of good, solid live music. As the sea of humans multiplied so did the vibe and smiles were seen in every direction. Kicking off the night were none other than RAEN ambassadors Al Knost and Ford Archbold, as Tomorrow's Tulips, for a slowed down, psych set with an adjoining light show to enhance the atmosphere. It was but a mellow prelude for what was about to take the stage next; it was necessary for the intensity that was to unfold. Thee almighty Oh Sees. Yes, Thee Oh Sees took the stage like bats outta Hell! Their energy captivated the crowd and erupted in a mosh pit upon the first guitar stroke, bass line, and cymbal crash. The sea of humans moved with the waves of a relentless set that left most gassed out, winded and sweaty. The music was loud and the crowd was there to respond.. just how we like it! A big thanks goes out to the infamous Belly Up for hosting such an awesome night of high fives, moshing, stage dives, and the best live music around. We also want to give a big thanks to Thee Oh Sees and Tomorrow's Tulips for playing their hearts out. And last but not least, a big thanks to everyone that came out for the show.. and if you were there, you know that you surely did not miss out on a fun night! See you next month!
