RAEN introduces The Underwood, The Squire and The Ryko as well as new stock of all existing frames. Our much anticipated installment of new and existing product is finally here highlighted by three exciting new frames (The Underwood, The Squire and The Ryko). Existing favorites such as The Flowers by Alex Knost, The Lenox, The Noval, The Casbah, The Volta andThe Nora along with the rest of the 2010 RAEN Collection are also available. Our frames are tediously built to last with handmade European acetate, CR-39 and Polarized lens technology, and five barrel hinges. We currently have 17 styles with each having three to four color ways. We will be releasing three additional new styles in 2011 (The Myopia (Alexandra Cassaniti collab frame), The Breslin and The Hopson) along with new and updated color ways for many of our existing classic-inspired styles. Thank you for your continued support and get ready for an exciting 2011 as we continue to grow as a brand. The future is bright.
THE UNDERWOOD - A browline style frame that grants you the confidence to brashly take on the system. Merging light wire-rimmed lenses beneath a heavy acetate structure and bridge with a unique double screw temple detailing completes the extra attention to detail and quality intended for this frame. Demand respect and you’ll get it. This frame is designed for use as either an RX or a sunny.
THE SQUIRE - Inspired by the styl-rites donned by James Dean in the 50s, this shape is truly timeless. With metal screw temple detailing and a notched bridge, these horn-rimmed frames have a personality all their own. The Squire provides the optimal fit and design that you need as a modern day icon.
This frame is designed for use as either an RX or a sunny.
THE RYKO – With these smooth and sophisticated frames you’ll be ready to take on the typewriter and punch out that classic novel that’s forever been stuck in your head (inspirational bottle of Jack by your side of course). Blending style with intellect, the Ryko is constructed and styled to keep your comfort and ideas at a steady flow. This frame is designed for use as either an RX or a sunny.
RAEN was formed in Summer 2008 by the designers at Libre Design, a boutique creative agency in Encinitas, CA. Owner and Creative Director, Justin Heit, always had a driving passion for accessories with a driving desire to create an eyewear brand. Coming from a background as an art director in the Action Sports Industry, Justin has continued to push the limits with both Libre Design and RAEN to appeal to a wide range demographic. RAEN essentially became Libre’s own client where we have creative freedom to design and market the ideal niche eyewear brand. Balancing classic aesthetics with superior workmanship and modern design is what RAEN is all about. We are a classics driven brand, aimed at bringing intrinsic value and authenticity to the boutique eyewear market. Our goal is to provide timeless, tangible, quality items that function within our active lifestyles and those of our consumers. We are designers who are determined to continually bring new and innovative products to the marketplace; created for and inspired by the lives we live.

RX OR SUN – WE HAVE YOU COVERED:
Many of our styles are RX-able, meaning they can be used as a sunglass or customers may customize with their prescription lenses. We’ve seen nearly all of our frames used as both. Our newest frames, The Underwood, The Ryko and The Squire were all designed to be used either way. We have seen great success with optical-specific retailers as we offer a unique combination of high-quality fashion frames at a moderate price point.
